DORE FAMILY, Kingston, WA - November 2004 |
|
Roseanne Dore and her three daughters found themselves living in a half-built utility shed in the backyard of their burned out home in March of 2004. Following the devastation of the fire, Roseanne found out that their home insurance policy lapsed when their agent retired. They made the best of a bad situation, using friend’s houses to shower, a door-less outhouse and makeshift camp stove to prepare meals. Roseanne and her daughters still made the half-built shed their home and would invite family over for dinners.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition choose the Dore family as deserving of a new home for their Season 2 Episode 11 project. Team Innovative Services was there to provide landscaping services for this wonderful project. |

KIRKWOOD FAMILY, Port Orchard, WA - November 2005 |
|
The Kirkwood family has been through a lot, but the biggest problem they faced was the hazardous black mold that had taken over their house. When their contractor skipped out, the mold moved in. Exposed wiring, open walls and poor ventilation left the Kirkwoods without the much-needed extra space their basement would have provided. Their four daughters shared one tiny room. But the tenacity of their daughter Jael did pay off when Extreme Makeover: Home Edition built their new home for the Season 3 Episode 14 project. Team Innovative Services was honored to be able to provide landscaping services for this project. |
